Sabancı University (SU) is internationally recognized as one of the most innovative and research-oriented universities in Turkey. Sabancı University ranked 13th on Times Higher Education's "100 Under 50" list of top universities under 50 years old in the world in 2015. Since its establishment in 1999, many national and international research projects have been initiated in cooperation with various national and international institutions. The number of students per faculty member is 13. SU has also a very close collaboration with the National Agricultural Research Institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, particularly in the establishment of field trials.
Role in the project
SU will be active in task 4.2. A one-year trial will be established in three contrasting locations by using 12 wheat genotypes. The field experiment will be realized with low and adequate N supply, with and without irrigation. Yield parameters, grain N and ICP data (mineral concentrations besides N) will be collected and reported.
